Full details of the forthcoming Gents Winter Competition - due to commence on the weekend of 5th & 6th of November - can be found in the Members area, under the Men's section.
Each competition will have a different format and will be based on a pair entering. Maximum handicap 28.
As well as voucher prizes for the first 4 places in each competition, points for the first 20 places in each competition will be awarded, starting at 20 points for 1st place down to 1 point for 20th place.
Points will be totalled for each pair from the 8 competitions. You may play with a different partner in any of the competitions if you wish but any points gained will only relate to that particular pairing. You can only qualify for the semi-finals with one partner.
After the competition on 19th February 2017, the best 5 scores out of the 8 competitions per pair will be calculated and totalled. The top 8 pairs with the highest points gained from their best 5 scores in the individual competitions as at 19th February 2017 will contest drawn quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final to determine the eventual winner of the Winter Competition. These rounds will be played in a betterball matchplay format (90% handicap allowance) to determine the eventual winner of the Winter Competition.
Entries will be taken in the Pro Shop on the day for each individual competition. Entry fees for each individual competition will be £5 per pair.
