LADIES OPEN SATURDAY JUNE 3rd 2017
Breezy but with warm sunshine was the order of the day for this years Ladies Spring Open. With the course in superb condition, the greens fast & true, the views from everywhere simply breathtaking, the full entry of ladies had a day to remember. With homemade cakes at the halfway house both morning and afternoon and food and drinks in the clubhouse throughout the day a full days golf was enjoyed by all.
The themed raffle of wine, chocolates & flowers raised £200 for the Lady Captains charity - Parkinsons Disease. Thank you to all of those that bought tickets.
The morning strokeplay round for the Turnor Trophy was won by Louise Bradley (Toft) with a fantastic score of 84-21-63 resulting in a 3 shot reduction in handicap. The best gross was won by Helen Lowe (Scraptoft) with a score of 78.
The afternoon Foursomes competition was once again won by Louise Bradley & her partner Mairead Scott (both Toft) with 35 points - great golf Louise.

CHANDLER BOWL SATURDAY 6th MAY 2017
With the weather still unseasonably cold and blustery Penny Hallam & Avis Griffin still managed to score a great 40 points to win the Chandler Bowl for 2017. A close 2nd place with 39 points were Lady Captain Pauline Haggerty and Norma Varley.
BURSNALL CUP SATURDAY 29th APRIL 2017
A blustery day and still quite cold for the time of year. The winner of the Bursnall cup this year with a fantastic 39 points was Jean Hough. Sheila Dugmore took 2nd place with 36 points and Hattie Dow 3rd with 32 points. Pam Watson took the gross prize for the day.
LEVERETT CUP SATURDAY 22nd APRIL 2017
There was no dispute as to who the winner of this competition was for 2017. Junior Golfer, Hattie Dow really stole the show with a fantastic score of 46 points - 28 on the back 9!!!! Hattie was really pleased to achieve a 5 shot reduction in her handicap which turned to delight when she was told that because of other recent successes and the day's score, an ESR (exceptional score review) had been generated for her resulting in a further 2 shot reduction . 7 shots in one day - Go Hattie! In 2nd place was another of our Junior golfers, Laura Harvey with a great score of 37 points also giving a handicap reduction.
MARLOW MIDWAY SATURDAY 22nd APRIL 2017
A very close competition saw Elaine Kirby take 1st Place on countback (105 - 26 - 79) from Roni Proctor who took the second prize with 103 - 24 - 79. Again, beaten on countback was Jackie Witten with a net 79.
