Captain of Stoke Rochford GC, Charles Scott was looking forward to his Captains weekend, and it couldn't have gone any better!
After a week of on and off rain, Saturday proved to be a very nice day for the 3 man team event, with a twist!
The twist being, NO flags were placed on the greens!
The format was 2 out of 3 scores to count, and the best way to get an idea of where the holes were on the green was keep up with the game in front.
This all made for an exciting and different game of golf.
The eventual winners were:-
1st Pam, Nick and Andrew Watson - 85pts
2nd Steve Greenfield, James Footitt, John Booth - 79pts
3rd Arthur Wheeler, Graham Wrath, Bert Tredigo - 78pts
Nearset the pin (7th Hole) Jame Footitt
Longest Drive (10th Hole) Adam Footitt.
Sunday was another great day to play golf with the sun shining.
107 members took part, and quite a few invited guests took part, with Ian Gray an ex member traveling from the Isle of Skye to support his friend Charles Scott.
