Greens Chairman Gerald Morley has confirmed that work is due to start on the changes to the 7^th hole on the 25^th November 2008 (weather permitting of course !!).

 

The course architects will be in attendance to help set up the new bunker at the front right of the green. They will also be advising on the re-sculpturing of the pond and the re-routing of paths.

 

Please note that while work is in progress (during weekdays) the hole will be closed with a temporary short hole on the practice area. However, it is hoped the 7th main hole will be open at weekends.

Gerald also advises that the annual advisory report on the condition of the golf course will be available in both Ladies and Gents locker rooms shortly. Please have a read especially page 6 paragraph 2 with regard to control of worms. Unfortunately, this is a problem that is only going to get worse.
