I am profoundly grateful for the compliment afforded to me, by Stoke Rochford golf club, to be invited to be the Captain for the coming year and would like to express a warm welcome to members and visitors alike.
You will find the course to be one of the finest, most playable all year round, in the county and surrounding area. From the stunningly picturesque Par 3 signature 7th hole, to the risk and reward 13th, you will find the experience enjoyable for the golfers who are just starting their journey up the handicap ladder, to the ones who have attained the very top rung.
There is always a warm and friendly welcome to be found in the clubhouse from both members and staff.
Angus Dow our resident professional, along with his team, are always available to provide any assistance needed and can be found in our well stocked shop.
My chosen charity for the year is Hayward House, which is based in the City Hospital Nottingham. This is a palliative care centre which, from my family’s personal experience, provides excellent and much needed care.
I would like to wish a successful year to all of our team captains, the bar has been set extremely high by the fantastic achievement of the Annodata team, however I know that everyone involved will give it their very best!
Finally, I look forward to seeing you all at the presentation evenings which start in April.
Club Captain 2019
I am very honoured to be Lady Captain of Stoke Rochford Golf Club for 2019. I first started playing golf as a teenager in the 1980’s with my parents at Stoke Rochford and after getting married and having a family golf took a back seat for a few years. As the boys grew I found that I had more time and I started playing golf again with old friends and new ones that I have made.
We have a very busy golfing season which includes matches, both league and social and a varied competition diary open to all lady members. We are a small ladies section who always welcome new lady members.
I am looking forward to a successful year for Stoke Rochford Golf Club and welcoming old and new visitors to our course.
During the year I hope you will support me in raising funds for my chosen charity, Transverse Mylitis a rare condition some people including my husband develop.
Wishing you all a healthy and very enjoyable golfing year.
