Peter Bloodworth Famous Grouse Shotgun Foursomes Results

On a fabulous morning for an early start 34 members enjoyed the gentle conditions, some interesting Foursomes Medal golf and of course a traditional English breakfast after the round provided by Cris & Lys, thank you to them and also to Gareth and his staff for preparing the course so it was ready in time for the shotgun start.

Worthy winners are shown below :-

  • 1st place nett  :  Steve Greenfield & Tom Greenfield  78 - 7.05  =  70.95
  • 2nd place nett  :  Rob Gibbons & Harry Gibbons  86 - 13.30 = 72.70
  • 3rd place nett  :  Paul Knapp & Adam Footitt  77 - 3.90  =  73.10

SRGC 39th Pro-AM

The 39th Pro-Am took place at Stoke Rochford Golf Club this week on Thursday 20th June

The Course was set up well, and looked in great condition. The weather stayed kind!

34 Teams took part in the event.

Tuesday Summer Open #2 Results

Thirty four players entered the Tuesday Open Rollup #2, with SRGC players leading the way in generally pleasant conditions until rain started to fall for the final few groups. Our main sponsor Jason Jones of United Van Liners was placed 1st with a score of 39 points, just beating his son into 2nd place on a back 9 countback.

Shelley Cups Results

49 players entered the 36 hole Shelley Cups Club Championships, with Adam Footitt & Harry Gibbons winning the Gross & Nett overall prizes as can be seen below :-

Congratulation to all prize winners.

48 entries into the 2s club which was run over both rounds combined, 11 players managed 14 x 2s so receive £10.28 per share, this has already been paid into their competition wallets.

Always interested to hear the opinions of Members on whether this should revert to a 36 holes in one day competition or should remain spread over both days, let me know if you have any strong opinion either way.
