The Jim Tear Rose Bowl Trophy is played on an annual basis, and is played for by past and present officers of the Club.
It is to commemorate the hard work that Jim Tear put in as an officer of the club and Captain in 1969, it is also to commemorate the hard work that all other past and present officers do for the club.
Saturday would have been appropriately Jim's 100th Birthday, and I am sure he would have been proud that the club remember him and the work that he did.
22 people played in the event and Dick Skelton (Past Chairman) and Julia & Paul Schofield (grand daughter of Jim Tear) joined later for the evening meal and presentation.
Mike Heath the clubs new Club Secretary, playing in the event for the first time cam out as Winner with 38pts
Mike expressed his thanks for not only winning the competition, but also to Julia for taking the time to present the trophy, and for the officers that have committed their time over the years, and to those that will continue to give their time for many years to come.
