SPRING OPEN MONDAY 25TH MARCH 2019
On a sunny but breezy Spring morning Stoke Rochford welcomed Ladies from 18 different clubs to play in their Spring Open held for the first time this year. All of the ladies that played enjoyed the course which as usual, was in fantastic condition. The winners on the day were Mags McArthur & Jane White (Stoke Rochford) with a great 43 points, in 2nd place were Cathy Lee & Shirley Kehoe (Toft) with 40 points, in 3rd place were Julie Gamble & Jane Quibell (Lincoln) with 39 points on countback from Norma Varley & Laura Harvey (Stoke Rochford) also with 39 points.

On a dry but overcast spring day the ladies played in their first qualifying competition of the season. With an excellent 34 points Pauline Haggerty was today's winner and was thrilled to receive a beautiful hanging basket which had been kindly donated by Lady Captain Karen. Second place in the competition went to Chris Rowley with 31 points who on countback beat Roseanne McKee also with 31 points. The Ladies enjoyed a lovely meal in the clubhouse following the competition. The sum of £190 for a local cancer charity was raised from the raffle organised for the day and some very kind donations from members.
EARLY BIRDS TROPHY WEDNESDAY 20TH MARCH 2019
With lovely Spring weather the order of the day the Ladies played in the annual Early Birds Trophy competitiion. Still on excellent form, Lady Captain Karen was todays winner with a fabulous 34 points. In second place on countback was Elaine Kirby beating Carol Hamilton in third place, both with 30 points.
LADIES & SENIORS WEDNESDAY 13TH MARCH 2019
The Spring Ladies & Seniors fixture was played this year in very windy but dry conditions. The two Captains arranged a team stableford betterball format with one Lady & 1 Man to score on each hole. The winners with 76 points were Pauline Haggerty, Carol Hamilton, Darrell Knight & Ray Beal, in 2nd place were Phillippa Smith, Judy Rawson, John Booth & Keith Dugmore with 75 points and in 3rd place were Lady Captain Karen Rawson, Seniors Captain Cliff Mills, Mags Mcarthur & Greg Ewart with 72 points. The sandwiches & chips in the clubhouse following the match were welcomed by all after battling with the wind!
HI-LO TROPHY SATURDAY 9TH MARCH 2019
The first competition of the season was played in windy conditions. Lady Captain Karen Rawson truimphed with partner Sue Booth with a score of 29 points beating Sheila Dugmore & Mags McArthur who acheived 25 points.
