The weather is still holding and the course is in fantastic condition for the ladies medal. In 1st place was Dorne Werner with 86-13-72, in 2nd place was Phillippa Smith with 93-17-76 ocb from Joan Lennard in 3rd place with 96-20-76.
INNOCENT VASE SATURDAY 9th JUNE 2018
In glorious summer weather the ladies played their only par competition of the season for the Innocent Vase. The winner was Roni Proctor with an even score, 2nd was Sheila Dugmore with -1 and in 3rd place was Pam Watson with -2.

AM MEDAL ROUND
The course was beautifully presented and the weather kind for this years June Ladies open. Ladies from 19 clubs competed but the absolute "Star of the Show" in the morning round and winner of the Turnor Trophy was junior lady Hattie Dow ( just 12 years old) who scored a fantastic Nett 59 (78-19-59). In second place was Gaynor Daykin from Belton Woods with 86-18-68, third, also from Belton Woods was Trudi Galloway with 83-14-69, fourth was Dorne Werner from Stoke Rochford with 84-14-70 and Sue Booth also Stoke Rochford came fifth with 84-13-71. The best Gross was won by Helen Lowe from Scraptoft with 75.
All of the nett prizewinners had handicap reductions - well played ladies.
The sun came out and the temperature rose rapidly for the afternoon foursomes competition played over 16 holes was won by June Miller (Stoke Rochford) and Alison Horak (Ullesthorpe) with 33 points OCB, in 2nd place were Pam Skidmore (Glen Gorse) and Shirley Bright (Scraptoft) with 33 point OCB and 3rd were Chris Rowley and Pauline Haggerty (both Stoke Rochford) also 33 points.
The ladies enjoyed the cakes at the halfway house and the meal in the clubhouse. Hattie, despite her young years made a fabulous speech to accept the Trophy and to thank the organising team on behalf of all of the competitors. A great day.
PING COMPETITION WEDNESDAY 30th MAY 2018
The ladies played in the annual Ping qualifier hoping to reach the Plate final or Grand final later in the year. The winners and this years Stoke Rochford representatives are Sheila Dugmore & Jackie Whitten with 37 points.
CORONATION CUP SATURDAY MAY 21st 2018
This freetime competition saw junior lady Hattie Dow win with a score of 90-20-70. in second place was Jackie Whitten with 100-26-74 and third was Sue Booth with 87-12-75. The winner of the gross prize was Pam Watson with 84.
